We're not just a festival. Through the Phoenix Film Foundation and IFP Phoenix, we offer educational outreach programs, filmmaking seminars, continuing educational programs for adults, film programs for middle and high school students, summer camps, and even a day of films and activities specifically designed for children at the Phoenix Film Festival!  

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Kids' Day

Kids’ Day is a free event for children of all ages to come out and experience the Phoenix Film Festival. The whole family will get an introduction to the art of film with a series of age-appropriate, hands-on activity stations focusing on different aspects of the filmmaking process. Click the title link above for more info on this fun event!

 

 

Middle / High School Workshops

Students in Middle and High School are encouraged to participate in exciting, film related educational activities during the Phoenix Film Festival. Film Summer Camp

Through hands-on learning, students actively participate in the technical elements of digital filmmaking from pre- to post-production. At the end of the summer, each camp's film makes its big screen premiere at the Harkins Scottsdale 101! Check back soon for more information about the upcoming 2025 camp sessions.

Our FREE weekend educational workshops are open to the public and designed to enhance your Festival experience by bringing together filmmakers, film lovers and industry professionals.
